O.J. Mayo scores 24 as the Grizzlies defeat the Bucks 99-95.
Thanks goodness for good 3rd Quarters huh? The Grizz came out after halftime and went on a tare outscoring the Bucks 31-20 to get the lead. Luckily the Grizz held on to the lead for the remainder of the game, and got the much needed win. This was the only time the Grizzlies will play the new look Bucks with Monta Ellis now starting at SG. Tony Allen held Eliis to 2-12 shooting and only 8 points. The Grizzlies are holding tight to the 6th spot in the West, but there are plenty of hungry teams within reach of spoiling a return to the playoffs for the Grizzlies.
The Grizz have a rough schedule coming up,

I count 7 playoff teams in our next 8 games which is going to be tough, but not impossible. It is important to keep things into perspective here, going .500 in the next 8 games would not necessarily be a bad thing considering who we are playing. The Grizz are 0-3 against OKC this year, and tonight will mark the fourth and final time the Grizz play OKC in the regular season, and boy wouldn't a win be nice!?!? Keep those fingers crossed. Tipoff is tonight at 7pm.
In other news, Kentucky is playing Kansas in the NCAA Championship tonight in what will be looked at by most as a rematch of the game that shall not be spoken of (The 2008 NCAA Championship). Look for Kentucky to dominate at both ends of the floor, and the deal with the devil Calipari made, to finally pay off.
Prediction: Kentucky 87 Kansas 73
