Tubby Troubles Continue at Memphis.

January 04, 2018 - 8:38 am

Memphis fans likely didn't expect a $3-million dollar head coach to take a roster with Dedric Lawson and Top-150 recruits, a $20-million dollar practice facility, an NBA arena, and a legacy of high-level performance and turn it into a loser at UCF in year two. Last night that happened.

Memphis lost despite winning the first half 22-21, dropping the second half 44-34. Final: UCF 65 Memphis 56

Jimaro Rivers was held out of the second half due to an undisclosed "team violation".

Kareem Brewton Jr. had 15 points going 6 of 13 shooting. UCF's A.J. David had 16 points on 2 of 3 shooting, while going 11 of 16 from the free throw line. Memphis actually lost despite holding Tacko Fall to 10 points.

Ironically, UCF's attendance now rivals Memphis. Last night 4,200+ attended the game in Orlando, Florida.
