Tigers Fall Short In AAC Championship Battle, 62-55 at UCF

Will Play In Autozone Liberty Bowl Vs. Iowa State Dec. 30th

December 03, 2017 - 6:59 pm

The Tigers left it all on the line Saturday in front of a nationally televised audience, going into Double OT on the road against #14 UCF in the AAC Championship Game. They ultimately fell short after Riley Ferguson's pass on second and goal in Double OT was intercepted by UCF's Tre Neal to clinch the AAC Championship for the Knights.

It was the costly turnover on what was a great performance by Ferguson, who finished with 471yds passing & 4TDs. Patrick Taylor Jr. & Darrell Henderson both had over 100yds rushing with a score each, & Anthony Miller had another amazong performance with 195yds receiving & 3TDs.

Memphis will play Iowa State on December 30th in the Autozone Liberty Bowl. You can hear the game in it's entirety right here on 92.9FM & 680AM in Memphis.
