Softball. Softball Outlasts Liberty in Shortened Doubleheader
The No. 7/10 ranked Alabama softball team defeated the Liberty Lady Flames 10-7 Tuesday on a wet evening at the Alabama Softball Complex. The game included a 46 minute delay due to lightning in the area. Game two of the scheduled doubleheader was cancelled due to heavy rain just before the start of the bottom of the second inning.

M. Cross Country. Men's Cross Country Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team
The University of Alabama men's cross country program has been named to the 2009 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday for their outstanding performances in the classroom as well as on the course. The Crimson Tide finds itself among the All-Academic Team honorees with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.08.
